Act Reckless/Think Before Speaking: Questions for John Coltrane, from his saxophone: → oddballsdontbounce.tumblr.com

oddballsdontbounce:

dear John,
what greater love is there
than that between sweat
and brow?
what lullabies nest in your breath
when you are silent?
what am I without your breath?
what am I when you are silent?
a sword
is only as powerful as its swordsman
I have no voice without your whispers
my dear John,

what…

nyu.

Also, my first sketch critique went really well! The class seemed to really like it, teach said I need a few edits but everything was there and the “cockring fighting” part was definitely a big hit. Thanks Falley for help on that one :)

NYU Slam Poetry Team Wows At First Slam → nyulocal.com

mujerinterrumpida:

Slam poetry has been said to exist since the mid 1980s, and is now an international art form. Mahogany L. Brown, or “Mobrowne” to fellow slam poets, remarked that “slam poetry is not the Walt Whitman, fucking Poetry 101…This is the goosebumps, the ‘Oh shit they’re telling my story right there!’”

THATS MY SHIT!!!
